Padel Planner Austria

Padel training for three: fair drills and regular rotations.

Three players can train effectively when targets and rotations are clear. Give the single player a bounded area rather than responsibility for an entire doubles court.

Start here

Limit the single-player zone, start slowly and rotate every role. The third person can also feed or observe one specific behaviour.

Before the first ball

Agree pace, target area and a stop signal. A feed outside the agreed zone ends the repetition instead of making the single player sprint desperately.

All timings and scores are suggestions. Adapt them to the group’s control and fitness.

1. Two at net, one defending

The net pair may hit only into the defender’s agreed half. The defender may return to either net player. Begin without lobs and at controlled pace.

Rotate clockwise after two minutes until everyone has defended. Add lobs later and clear loose balls before changing roles.

2. One at net, two at the back

The net player directs controlled volleys to both defenders. Their returns must enter an easily reachable area around the net player.

Build twelve contacts together, then rotate after two minutes. If errors increase, slow the feed or redefine the target rather than expanding the running area.

3. Two play, one observes

Two players use an agreed diagonal half. The observer stands outside movement paths and watches just one behaviour, such as glass spacing or the decision to advance.

After five points, give one concrete observation rather than a list of faults. Swap a player with the observer so everyone does both jobs.

4. Feed and situational point

One person feeds an agreed opening ball, such as a controlled lob. The others play within the agreed half. The feeder stays safely outside the rally area.

Feed again only once the point ends. Rotate after six points. Record whether the response suited the situation, not just who won.
